Clinical Trials BC Conference – Modernization of Clinical Trials

This years conference theme is the Modernization of Clinical Trials. It will be held virtually on January 26, 27, and 28, 2021 and is open to researchers, coordinators, administrators and patient partners across Canada.

This event will showcase regulatory renewal, new innovations in trial approaches and design, diversity of populations and teams, current topics, and leadership. This three-day event offers keynote lectures, exhibition hall and forums designed to stimulate engagement and planning through moderated panel discussions.

The keynote speaker is Allan Hackshaw a Professor of Epidemiology & Medical Statistics at University College London, and Deputy Director of the Cancer Research UK & UCL Cancer Trials Centre.

BC Kidney Days

BC Kidney Days is an annual conference, hosted by BC Renal and BC Transplant, that brings together clinicians, administrators and patient partners from across BC, other parts of Canada and the United States to discuss the latest research, trends, clinical treatments and surgical breakthroughs in kidney patient care. This year, the conference is completely virtual.

Conference Goals:

  1. Improve care with and for patients with Kidney disease at all stages
  2. Kidney community networking and teambuilding
  3. Update on clinical and research issues of common interest
  4. Promote collaboration among – CKD clinical disciplines, specialists and family physicians and patient partners.
  5. Effectively incorporate patient experiences and the patient voice in the education process

Canadian Society of Nephrology (CSN) in America

This year the CSN in America debate is entitled, “Therapeutic Anticoagulation in Advanced CKD/ESKD NOAC versus Warfarin”. Pro-side supporting resolution will be presented by Dr. Christine Ribic from Hamilton, Ontario and con-side refuting resolution will be presented by Dr. Ainslie Hildebrand from Edmonton, Alberta. American Society of Nephrology Kidney Week 2019

Registered participants receive full access to the scientific exposition, plenary sessions, educational sessions, poster sessions, industry-supported educational symposia, and welcome reception. There are one- and two-day early programs in specific nephrology topics which require a separate registration.
